Bill Douglas is an internationally celebrated pianist-composer- bassoonist who toured and recorded for thirty years with clarinetist Richard Stoltzman. As a bassoonist, he has played with the Toronto and New Haven Symphonies, and has recorded three RCA albums with Peter Serkin and Tashi. As a jazz pianist, he has toured and recorded with vibraphonist Gary Burton and bassist EddieGomez. In 1994, SOCAN, the Canadian equivalent of ASCAP and BMI, presented him with their classical composer of the year award. His compositions have been performed by major orchestras and chamber groups around the world. He has released 11 acclaimed CD’s with the Hearts of Space music label, and the recording Sky on Ty Burhoe’s Tala Records label. A beloved teacher, he taught at Cal Arts for seven years and Naropa University for thirty-three and a half years.  http://www.billdouglas.cc/

Ty Burhoe has been a disciple of the great tabla maestro, Ustad Zakir Hussain, since1990. From that time forward, Ty has been wholly dedicated to music as a career and as a spiritual path. Ty is known for his inspired accompaniment and uplifting presence in both classical and in fusion settings. He is internationally recognized for being instrumental in creating unique collaborations that weave tabla with other world traditions. He has been featured on many soundtracks for film and DVD. Ty works with a broad range of artists including Ustad Zakir Hussain, Art Lande, Krishna Das, Kala Ramnath, Curandero (Miguel Espinoza), Ustad Sultan Khan, Bela Fleck, Walter Becker (Steely Dan), Bruce Dunlap, Kai Eckhardt, Steve Gorn, Mamadou Diabate, Rick Alan (Def Leppard), Howard Levy, Kitaro, Bill Douglas, Jon Anderson (Yes) and many more. Violinist and Nyckelharpa* virtuoso Sandra Wong has toured nationally and internationally as a solo artist and in many magical musical collaborations. Her current projects include “Kaleidoscope” with Ty Burhoe and Bill Douglas; “Marrakech Express” with El Yesefi Samir, Brett Bowen and Dexter Payne, “From The Fjords to the Andes” with Victor Mestas, Gonzalo Teppa and Jill Fredrickesen; and Teresa Storch and the Sharp Eleven. Sandra creates and personally facilitates musical study trips to different countries leading people into the heart of individual folk cultures through the music and dance of each country. She strives to nurture a deep love of music and the arts in both children and adults. *The Swedish Nyckelharpa is a 16 stringed, keyed instrument played with a bow.
